Roshana Rana

Roshana has recently completed a double-major in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Toronto Mississauga. During her fourth year, she was a ROP student in Dr. Ganapathy-Coleman's lab. She assisted with data collection and conducting interviews for the project that explored the everyday lives and experiences of South Asian immigrants in the Greater Toronto Area. Roshana was able to apply her strong interpersonal and analytical skills to the interview process, allowing her to better understand the unique experiences and challenges faced by the participants. Her research interests align with this lab’s work because it focuses on understanding the experiences of South Asian immigrants from a cultural psychology lens. In the future, she wants to pursue a career as a lawyer, driven by her commitment to advocacy and social justice.
