Shubhneet Kaur

Shubhneet Kaur is a fifth-year psychology and biology for health sciences major, and a research assistant in Dr. Ganapathy-Coleman’s lab. She assists with data collection in the form of semi structured ethnographic interviews and qualitative research analysis for the project examining the lives of Indian immigrants in the GTA, with a particular focus on their cultural backgrounds, religion and spirituality and food preferences. She has contributed to the research by recruiting participants, conducting in-depth interviews and began quantitative data analysis by coding one of her interviews. Through this experience, Shubhneet has strengthened her skills in interviewing, collaboration, communication, and research data analysis, which she hopes to integrate into her goal of pursuing a career in the field of mental health.
